• In the Edge EX, weve removed much of the unnecessary weight behind the hitting area and repositioned it to the edges of the clubhead. This creates the perception of a face that is floating between the toe, heel, and sole of the clubhead.

  The unique Open Cavity Design used in Edge EX irons allowed our engineers to not only reposition weight to the perimeters of the club to increase stability and forgiveness, but also enabled them to enlarge the size of the clubhead significantly.

  As a result, the size of the face and Effective Hitting Area has been increased. In effect, golfers will see very little difference in distance and accuracy between shots hit directly in the center of the sweet spot and those much closer to the toe or heel.

  The Edge EX lofts are designed 2 degrees stronger than our Icon and PTx Pro irons to further enhance the playability for the mid-handicap golfer looking not only for incredible feel and forgiveness but also increased distance in their irons.

• Edge EX were designed to inspire confidence even before the swing begins. Extra offset was incorporated into their design to make them easier to launch. A thicker topline was used to create more perimeter weighting around the entire clubhead. And the overall clubhead size was enlarged to maximize the size of the Effective Hitting Area.

  Because theyre forged, the Edge EX irons deliver a solid, satisfying feel on shots hit across the entire width and height of the clubface. Youll experience that special, blissful feeling that Mr. Hogan talked about on more shots than ever before.

• Lets face it, the sole of your irons usually arent particularly interesting. Few people pay much attention to them. More should, though, because a clubs interaction with the turf will dramatically impact whether a shot turns out well or poorly.

  V-Sole technology is a standard feature of Ben Hogan irons and wedges. It combines a high bounce leading edge with a low bounce trailing edge. This simple, yet highly engineered design allows for easy manipulation of the clubhead without changing the loft no matter if you are facing a downhill, uphill or even side hill lie.

  The V-Sole Technology used on the Ben Hogan Edge EX irons has been optimized for each iron in the set. The strong leading edge combined with softer trailing edge allows the clubhead to glide through a wide variety of turf conditions. You wont have to worry about excessive digging or, the clubhead bouncing off the grass, or having the head being grabbed by even the most coarse strain of grass.

• EDGE EX irons have a nickel-chrome finish for players who prefer a more traditional look. Nickel-chrome is also very durable, and has been a proven way to protect forged club heads and ensure they look great for years to come.

Pre-Owned Club Conditions

Condition: Like New

Shows virtually no traces of wear, may have been hit one or more times in controlled conditions. May show signs of very minor “shop wear” (i.e. a single cosmetic blemish), but still full of NEWNESS!

Condition: Excellent

Clubs have seen minimal usage and are in top of the line preowned condition. You may see some minor or faint cosmetic blemishes (i.e. very light scuffing and/or scratching). Typical wear that you will see on an Excellent condition club is normal ball marks that are lightly visible on the face, minimal scratching to the crown, sole and edges. Shaft has no noticeable wear.

Condition: Very Good

Clubs have seen normal usage for an extended period of time or at least one season, the wear youll notice will be typical of the age of the model. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Typical wear youll see on a Very Good condition club is normal ball marks and scratching on the face, normal scratching on the sole, faint dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head, light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown. Shaft has minimal wear.

Condition: Value

Clubs offer a great value for someone who isn’t as interested in cosmetics, but cares about performance. Shows frequent to heavy use, but does not show any signs of abuse. All clubs in Value Condition are in 100% playable condition, which is the perfect option for the player looking for more bang for the buck. Typical wear youll see on a Value condition club is moderate to heavy ball marks and scratching on the face, moderate to heavy scratching on the sole, moderate to heavy dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head, moderate to heavy scratches, and paint chips/ blemishes on or around the crown. Shaft will have noticeable wear.
